Alright cats and kittens, pooches and pups- It’s a new moon and that means new intentions!
I intend to be more of who I am meant to be.
That means no more hiding.
When we hide, run from, avoid, or downright deny who we are in the world, we are providing a great disservice to humanity.
Here’s the thing: YOU were born with a unique and special set of gifts that make you, well… you.And there is NO ONE ELSE LIKE YOU on the entire planet.Woah. 🤯
If that’s not something to celebrate, I don’t know what is.
But, this doesn’t seem to be the case with the majority of the people walking around down here. 🤷♀️
We seem more apt to SHY AWAY from who we are in an attempt to “fit in” or feel like we are socially accepted (and for a good reason too- we are wired to seek acceptance so as to not be ‘booted from the tribe’. This is was a necessary survival skill for our ancestors, but is rarely serviceable to us in modern society, as we can, and are capable of surviving on our own).
Have you ever hid from your amazingness? I know I have. FOR DECADES!!!!!🤦♀️
UGH. You know how that made me feel?
Yup. Like 💩💩💩 (but without the smile).
It HURT.
I KNEW I was meant for something bigger, more meaningful to myself, but I wouldn’t allow myself to be that person.
Why?
Because I was scared.
I was (and still sometimes am) TERRIFIED to put myself out there as this new person, sharing all these hidden talents and gifts with the world.
I have been identified as one person (a tap dancer/choreographer/teacher) for 25ish years. But that’s not the whole of who I am. I stepped out almost a year ago as a “spiritual agent of change” if you will, and have been apt on spreading the message of awakening more so than pursuing anything related to tap dance.
Does that mean I don’t appreciate or lack passion for what I’ve done the past 25 years? No, not at all. It doesn’t diminish my love for the art. Perhaps it even enhances it a bit since I’m not “in it” every day anymore.
But let me say this: When I finally stopped to acknowledge that I possessed other gifts and talents that had been kept on the back burner, and when I recognized it was safe to explore them, I ran straight ahead and never looked back.
And it feels DAMN GOOD.
The world NEEDS you right now. YOU are called to be more you than ever before. HUMANITY is begging you to share your gifts.
Please, have the courage to be self-less in this instance and share a piece of you.
If you’ve been afraid to step out and you’re reading this right now, then THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO DO IT. Give yourself permission.
Tell me below in the comments about who you are! Share a tidbit about yourself- anything you’d like.
Consider this your safe space to maybe… claim your spot in the world? Speak your desires into existence? Start becoming the person you want to be?
Here you will find there is plenty of space being held for you. I want to see you succeed and cheer you on every step of the way.
Remember that you are loved and supported every step of your journey. 💜
